SME accounts, overdrafts and cash management

7.1 Accounts and overdraft servicing

The SME Account Service manages account opening, servicing and lifecycle controls for business current accounts and associated overdrafts. It supports account status management, balance retrieval, signatories and mandates, overdraft linking, statement generation and servicing events. Key capabilities include:
  • account creation from approved product definitions
  • maintenance of signatories, mandates and transactional limits
  • configurable overdraft structures linked to current accounts
  • standing order and direct debit servicing hooks
  • balance, available funds and headroom retrieval
  • statement generation and secure document delivery
  • full audit trail for account and mandate changes
The service is designed to act as the system of record for product-level servicing. External posting engines, general ledgers or payment processors may still participate in settlement and accounting flows through integration interfaces.

7.2 Cash management and liquidity

The Cash Management Service provides the controls required for SME treasury-style operations. It supports current and projected position views, liquidity structures and sweep logic. The service can be used directly for position management or as the orchestration layer in front of specialist treasury platforms. Capabilities include:
  • intra-day and end-of-day position views
  • real-time headroom and exposure visibility
  • interest allocation and sweep scheduling
  • physical and notional pooling models where enabled in deployment scope
  • rule-driven liquidity concentration and release
  • alerts on thresholds, breaches and operational exceptions
In deployments where complex notional pooling, treasury optimization or bank-specific interest allocation rules are required, Finpace exposes the operational model and integration hooks while allowing a specialist treasury component to perform the calculation.
Advanced corporate cash-management constructs such as sophisticated sweep structures, pooling logic and treasury-grade optimization may require additional product packaging, workflow design or specialist integration depending on the target operating model.
